ABOUT THIS TRAINING

The Life-Force Academy Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training is a professional program in the theory, practice, and basic skills necessary to become a Kundalini Yoga Teacher of depth and sophistication.

This is both for aspiring teachers, as well as those who would like to deepen their personal practice and purpose through the vehicle of Kundalini Yoga.

The training is offered in either a VIRTUAL or IN-PERSON format.

To attend the training virtually from anywhere in the world, choose the VIRTUAL option.

The IN-PERSON option includes three in-person sessions (February, April, July) held at the Life-Force Academy studio in Nevada City, California. The time commitment is the same for both options.

Each intensive begins on a Wednesday evening, likely from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time (subject to change). The following days will run from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PT, so please plan to be fully available during that time.

These are immersive training days, starting with morning sadhana, followed by teaching sessions, practices, and group work throughout the day. There will be scheduled breaks built in, including time for meals and rest.

If you’re outside the U.S., live participation is still required, but you’ll have an extra day to complete your session work to help account for time zone differences.

This format supports a powerful immersion into the teachings while giving space for integration and nourishment throughout the day.

Jai Dev Singh is a yogi and internationally renowned teacher of Kundalini Yoga and Ayurveda. He is the founder and principal teacher of the Life-Force Academy—a global community for yogic teachings and practices with thousands of students in over 60 countries around the world, and the author of numerous courses on Kundalini Yoga and Ayurveda.

Jai Dev is a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and served as the Clinical Director at the California College of Ayurveda, as well as the director of the college's Pancha Karma Center and Ayurvedic Spa.

Jai Dev is emerging as a preeminent voice in the yoga world. He travels all over the world sharing ancient yogic teachings in a uniquely accessible way that is relevant to our times.

IMPORTANT: 100% Attendance Is Required For Graduation.

For virtual sessions, camera will need to be on for 100% of class time for participation to be accounted for. Participants will need to create a distraction free environment for virtual learning (no pets, kids, or other family members) and comply with specified zoom guidelines to receive credit for training hours.

MORE ABOUT THE FORMAT OF THIS TRAINING...

This is an 6-month professional certification program that will require your dedication and focus to complete & graduate.

100% live and camera-on attendance will be required for graduation. Virtual Attendees will be required to comply with guidelines for virtual participation.

There will be substantive homework and inspiring content in between sessions to keep you engaged, learning, and blossoming for the 6-month duration.

Expect a substantive and powerful daily sadhana commitment as part of your requirement to graduate.

Sessions are made up of a combination of experiential learning through yoga and meditation, substantive lectures, alignment checks, practice teaching, group activities, specialized guest teachers, and sound & mantra work.

As a student of the training, you will have the entire training recorded in a state-of-the-art studio with lifetime access. While 100% live participation is required, the video recordings will be an invaluable asset and tool that will serve you for a lifetime as a teacher and a practitioner.

What kind of certification will I receive?
You will receive a Level One 200-hour Certification with Life-Force Academy.

What do I need to participate?
You need a strong internet connection and a functioning laptop computer, as well as a distraction-free space for practice and learning. Desktop computers can also work if they are movable and you can position yourself within camera view according to our guidelines, which will be announced soon. No children, pets, family members, or friends will be allowed in your learning space.

What is the schedule for the live sessions, and how does it work if I’m in a different time zone?

Are there any prerequisites?
No, but knowledge of Kundalini Yoga and an existing practice is strongly recommended.

Can I complete this training on an iPad or mobile device?
The one mobile device that will meet the requirements for this training is a tablet WITH an attached keyboard. No standalone iPads, tablets, or mobile phones will meet the technology requirements.

Is lodging included for in-person students?
Lodging is not included, and students are responsible for finding their own accommodations in Nevada City.

What if I want to participate in just 1 or 2 of the in-person sessions?

If you plan to attend ANY of the sessions in person, you should register for the in-person path. You can virtually attend any session(s) you cannot attend in person; however, there will be no tuition reduction.

Can I take this course even if I don’t want to become a teacher?
Absolutely! Many people who take this course will be doing it solely for their personal development and to deepen their own practice.

What if I have to miss a class?
100% attendance is required for graduation. Missed classes will only be permitted on a case-by-case basis for emergencies and extenuating circumstances, and makeup work will be required.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Our Commitment
We understand that enrolling in a Teacher Training program is a significant commitment—financially, energetically, and spiritually. This policy is designed to honor your dedication while maintaining the integrity and sustainability of our program.

Registration & Deposit
$500 of your tuition serves as a non-refundable deposit.
This deposit is non-transferable and non-refundable under all circumstances.

Tuition Payments & Deadlines
Full tuition is due 30 days prior to the start of the training.
Students on a payment plan must complete all payments at least 30 days before the start of the training.

Cancellation Policy
Before Training Begins:
60+ days before start date: Full refund of tuition paid, minus $500 deposit.

30–59 days before start date: 50% refund of tuition paid, minus $500 deposit.

Less than 30 days before start date:

No refunds available.

After Training Begins:
No refunds once the program has started, regardless of attendance or participation.
Tuition cannot be transferred to another training once the program begins.

Withdrawal During Program
If you need to withdraw for personal, medical, or emergency reasons:
Tuition is non-refundable, but at our discretion, you may apply unused tuition (minus deposit) as credit toward a future training.
Proof of circumstances (medical note, etc.) may be required.

Program Cancellation by Us
If the program is canceled by the organizers for any reason, students will receive a full refund of all tuition paid, including deposits.
We are not responsible for travel, lodging, or other expenses incurred.

Missed Sessions & Makeup Policy
Students are expected to attend all sessions.
Missed hours must be made up according to Yoga Alliance standards, which may incur additional fees.
