American singer, musician, and author Belinda Carlisle is a legend, a trail- blazer and pure joy with a heart of gold.

She co-founded The Go-Go’s, the most successful all-female band in history. Belinda also went on to enjoy a prolific career as a solo artist.

With their chart-topping debut release Beauty and the Beat in 1981, the group helped popularize new wave music in the United States.

The Go-Go's were the first (and to-date, only) all-female band in history to write their own songs and play their own instruments to achieve a No. 1 album. The Go-Go’s sold more than seven million records worldwide.
